DESIGNING ANTI-TERRORISM MEASURES

INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

Construction sites are easy targets for the opportunist thief; the high value of plant and equipment can lead to quick and easy profit for the successful thief. Depending on locality, each site will have its own issues of concern. Construction sites are subject to a number of
threats, against which security should be applied by the site operator. These include theft, vandalism and deliberate damage and terrorism.
D.I.T.I.A. srl provide day time and overnight security services for construction sites and building industries throughout in the World
Dedicated construction site uniformed security;
Security guards and dogs (very effective on large building sites);
CCTV monitoring — with foot patrols;
Vehicle security patrols;
Integration of our security process within your building site Health and Safety Policy and security guidelines.
We carry out an initial, thorough risk assessment to determine threats and weaknesses and implement necessary site security measures.
When considering site security, most people will firstly measure the potential cost of doing nothing, i.e what they will lose should a theft take place. In the context of a construction site, this is the replacement cost of material and equipment, which can include individual items worth tens of thousands of dollars.”

We are inspired by the EU legislation December 8th 2008, n. 114. Once considered the European treaty which institutes the European Community, the article n. 308 in particular, the European Council states that:… “The primary and ultimate responsibility for protecting ECIs falls on the Member States and the owners/operators of such infrastructures.”
Within the terms of the European legislation published on European Union’s official gazette, D.I.T.I.A. is responsible for:
RISKS ANALYSIS
in order to evaluate the vulnerability and the potential impact of a damaged or destroyed critic infrastructure.
PROTECTION OF SENSITIVE INFORMATION
about protection of critic infrastructures to prevent both the disclosure and the planning of actions which may lead to the damage or destruction of such infrastructures.
PROTECTION
of all activities that ensure a steady functionality of critical infrastructure in order to avoid, relieve and neutralize a threat, a risk or a vulnerability.
